    “Recognising and Preventing Violence Against Women.

    This evening conference will explore the issue of domestic violence as experienced by women and girls from faith communities. It will help those attending to understand the issue better, whatever their background or professional interest. Speakers will include practitioners, academics and religious leaders. United Religions Initiative UK plans to draw on the report of the conference to design a ‘domestic violence toolkit’ for use by religious and community leaders, initially in the West Midlands.

    AWAZ Cumbria and Westmorland and Furness Diversity Equity and Inclusion Partnership (WFDEIP) present talks on interfaith by
    Rev Mandy Reynolds Interfaith Minister and Minister of Kendal Unitarian Chapel. Mandy has a Christian background but has been interested in other faith traditions for a number of years. A member of SLIF South Lakeland Interfaith Forum Committee. She will speak about Roots & Wings Gallery in the New Shambles Kendal.
    Jacquetta Gomes Bodhicarini Upasika Jayasili. A Bodhicarini and Sangha Authorized Dhamma Teacher in Theravada Buddhism. In 2025 celebrated the 50th anniversary of becoming an Upasika in Theravada Buddhism in Sri Lanka in 1975. Her talk is about participation in The Carlisle Cathedral Coronation Service in 2023 and the unofficial informal CMCG Cumbria Multifaith Coronation Group.

    University of Suffolk Unlocked: An Interfaith Conversation to Explore the Meaning and Significance of Marriage

    Interfaith Week 2025 at Chester Cathedral

    To mark Interfaith Week 2025, Chester Cathedral and the University of Chester Chaplaincy Team will be hosting a second Faith2Faith Conversation, this time with Chester’s Lord Mayor and Sheriff. Join us to hear them sharing thoughts and reflections about how they live out their different faiths in their work and everyday lives.

    The conversation will be followed by refreshments and a talk from Canon Dr Jacob Devadason on a fresh approach to interfaith engagement called ‘verandah theology’.

    People of all faiths and none are very welcome to this event as we work to live better together across our differences.

    BRISTOL DIVERSE DOORS OPEN DAY 2025

    Bristol Multi-Faith Forum (BMFF) is delighted to announce this year’s Bristol Diverse Doors Open Day, taking place on Sunday, 16th November 2025, as part of the UK Inter Faith Week. Several places of worship of diverse faiths will open for visits on that day in Bristol. In addition, there will be a Multi-Faith Trail that includes visits to a Buddhist shrine, a Greek Orthodox Church, an Evangelical Christian Church, a Muslim Mosque, a Sikh Gurudwara, a Jewish Synagogue, a Hindu Temple, and a Baha’i Centre. The trail will begin at 9.00 am from the BMFF office at Barton Hill Settlement, 43 Ducie Road, Bristol (BS5 0AX), and conclude at 5.30 pm. BMFF will provide a scheduled minibus tour, subject to prior booking. Seats for the guided minibus tour are limited. To reserve your place, please email: info@bristolmultifaithforum.org.uk.
