Are you or those you support struggling with the cost of living crisis? As this crisis continues into another long winter, join us to hear about the support on offer, and to find out how groups in the borough are helping people and families that would otherwise go hungry.
Tower Hamlets remains one of the poorest boroughs in London, with one of the highest rates of poverty in the country.
Come along to our Inter Faith Week event to find out about help that is available from the council, faith based and community groups, including warm spaces, emergency help and foodbanks.
With great speakers and a panel discussion on food insecurity, join us for some delicious food, discussion and browse the stalls held by local organisations. We will also be joined by Fair Future UK for an activity.
Our panel discussion will ask:
Can the council do more to empower local grassroots organisations through grants, food, and equipment?
How can there be better collaboration and communication between all stakeholders?

This event will be held at the University of Gloucershire's Oxtall's business centre atrium. There will be 4 interviews with people who have had to relocate, focusing on how their faith helped them to cope and how the faith community has welcomed them, each one ending with a short prayer from their faith tradition. Plenty of time between each one to network and enjoy free finger food prepared by Gloucester's English language school. The evening will end with a poem written by our Vice-Chair Atique Miah. …
