    Diwali

    Shree Prajapati Association, Bradford, BD5 9DN. 10.00 – 12.00
    West Yorkshire Hindu Police Association and Bradford Hindu Council are supporting Bradford's Council's Foster Children's care services with an event on the festival of Diwali.
    The foster children are aged between 4 and 15 years of age and all of different faiths with approximately 20-25 attending.
    There will a small presentation on Diwali itself, before we have fun and games.
    Producing Rangoli patterns, painting clay diya lights followed by a visit to the temple.
    The children will take away with them knowledge of another faith, and the festival of Diwali. They will also be given a little surprise pack containing Diwali goodies. …

    Peace and Harmony Day

    Our monthly Chat Café is celebrating Interfaith Week with a "Peace and Harmony Day" We will have small displays from members of the Lincolnshire Faith Council, as well as brief talks from community faith representatives and shared words of peace.…

    Diwali at Norton Priory

    Norton Priory Museum and Gardens
    On 12th November Norton Priory celebrates Diwali, the Hindu festival of light. Family friendly activities will include clay Diya lamp making and Rangoli pattern making. Mima Cornish from Hedgerose Healing will be creating an intricate and traditional rangoli pattern during the afternoon and our historic Undercroft will be specially illuminated for the event. We also encourage you to come and share our delicious Indian lunch, prepared by the Brooke Cafe, at our festive communal tables in the atrium.…

    Diwali Dancing

    Cathedral Primary School, College Square, BS1 5TS. 9.30 – 11.30
    Indian Diwali Dancing: Children will build on their natural enthusiasm for movement and develop skills of coordination and teamwork. Professional dancers will get the whole class moving to the beat. The Kathak style is graceful and is treasured for its intricacy, elegance and charm. One of the oldest forms of theatrical dance in the world, it involves the use of storytelling Mudras hand gestures.…

    Inter Faith Week Coffee Hub

    People from all different backgrounds and faiths will be coming to visit and have coffee with us at the Haymarket. We will also be having arts and crafts sessions with crafts from different religions. We will have music sessions from all faiths to show the diversity we share in Leicester.…

    St Albans Faith and Culture Enterprise Interfaith Event

    St Albans Faith and Culture Enterprise (FACE) are hosting their annual event to celebrate Inter Faith Week 2023 on Thursday 16 November 2023. Each year FACE invites people from different faith groups across the District to attend and discuss the issues facing their communities and the importance of strong relations between different faiths. This year it is also a celebration of the 10 year anniversary of FACE’s formation.
    This is an informal event where you are welcome to share your own experiences of what faith means to you and your work in the community, or simply listen to others. Residents of St Albans District are welcome to attend, whether they are representing a faith group or not. We invite attendees to bring along different cultural foods to share.

    Faith and Belief Awareness Day

    Isaac Newton Building, Brayford Campus, Lincoln, LN6 7TS. 10.00 – 14.00
    The University of Lincoln is pleased to work with the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy to put together a day event to increase the awareness of the different faiths and beliefs in the UK and at the University and to increase the understanding between those of faith and those of no faith. The event will include exhibitions, music, costume trying, and a visit to the Peace Garden. There will also be a minute of silence for peace in the world.…

    Spirals of Peace

    Chapter House, Chester Cathedral CH1 2DY. 10.00 – 12.00
    Join us for a gathering of storytelling and creativity based on the theme of peace.
    Individuals from different faith communities will speak of the meaning of peace in their faith.
    Delegates will create spirals using words of peace or quotations from their faith in an appropriate language to take home or to give to the public.
    There will be an opportunity to engage with each other as the spirals are created.…

  • Sunday 19 November

    Interfaith Service

    Shree Ghanapathy Temple & Sai Mandir, 125-133 Effra Road, Wimbledon, London SW19 8PU. 15.00 – 17.00
    Guests will be welcome to join us for our normal Sunday Service in the Sai Mandir, including a celebration of Ladies' Day and the Interfaith Service. The service will consist of readings, prayers and songs by members of other faiths in the Borough, ending with refreshments and an opportunity to continue our interfaith dialogue.
    As we will be celebrating Ladies' Day, which falls on the same day, our lady devotees will be leading the religious service, which will include a talk on Breast Cancer Awareness.

    Inter Faith Tea Party
