    Table-top Displays: Representatives from various world beliefs will host a display and be available to answer questions
    17.30 – 19.00 Function Room
    Faith and Belief in the 21st Century: Members from the Chaplaincy Team, representing different world views will form a panel to answer questions from the audience and partake in a discussion.

    The Common Good: As part of the Lancashire Humanists monthly meeting, we have invited Nick Briggs to lead a discussion on how the concept of the Common Good can contribute to better dialogue in the public sphere.
    This meeting is open to people of all beliefs.

    Islamophobia Awareness Month Book display and National Exhibition

    As the sad and horrific events unfold in the Middle East, it is even more important that staff and students feel safe and supported on campus and in the wider community. Islamophobia Awareness Month is a national campaign to remove misunderstandings about Islam and Muslims living in the UK. The University’s Changing the Culture initiative and Report.It.To.Stop.It. campaign highlight the role that all of us can play in working together to stop all forms of hate crime, be it islamophobia, antisemitism, racism, homophobia, etc. The Islamophobia Awareness Month national touring exhibition, brought to you by the Middlesex University Inter Faith Network in the Quad.   Through mutual understanding we can individually and collectively make a difference!

    Inter Faith Week Coffee Hub

    The Refugee Experience Evening

    This event will be held at the University of Gloucershire's Oxtall's business centre atrium. There will be 4 interviews with people who have had to relocate, focusing on how their faith helped them to cope and how the faith community has welcomed them, each one ending with a short prayer from their faith tradition. Plenty of time between each one to network and enjoy free finger food prepared by Gloucester's English language school. The evening will end with a poem written by our Vice-Chair Atique Miah. …

    We are One: the story of the ten Baha’i women executed in Iran for their faith 40 years ago.

    Essex Faith Covenant Annual Gathering

    The event will be hosted by Farleigh Hospice, one of the Covenant’s signatories, to learn more about its work with faith-based organisations. In addition information will be shared focusing on the wider activity of the Covenant. There will also be an opportunity to network with other faith-based and public service organisations from across Essex.

    The Essex Faith Covenant is a joint commitment to a shared set of principles that guide engagement between faith communities and public services. It aims to promote open, practical working and strengthen community cohesion.

    Faitheist: building bridges between believers and non-believers

    In a world where religious conflict is front page news and the number of people who identify as religious is declining, is the chasm of understanding between people of different faiths and atheists and agnostics growing wider? Can people of diverse religious affiliations find shared values and build partnerships for the common good, or are our disagreements too vast?

    In this event, professor, author, and activist Chris Stedman will share his story of seeking common ground with the religious as an atheist. Then, in conversation with University of Sussex Lead Chaplain James Croft, he'll discuss what theists and nontheists can gain from being in dialogue, the differences between the interfaith movements in the United States and United Kingdom, and how people of different faiths and those of nonreligious beliefs can work together to improve the world we all share.…

    St Albans Faith and Culture Enterprise Interfaith Event

    St Albans Faith and Culture Enterprise (FACE) are hosting their annual event to celebrate Inter Faith Week 2023 on Thursday 16 November 2023. Each year FACE invites people from different faith groups across the District to attend and discuss the issues facing their communities and the importance of strong relations between different faiths. This year it is also a celebration of the 10 year anniversary of FACE’s formation.
    This is an informal event where you are welcome to share your own experiences of what faith means to you and your work in the community, or simply listen to others. Residents of St Albans District are welcome to attend, whether they are representing a faith group or not. We invite attendees to bring along different cultural foods to share.

    Faith and Belief Awareness Day

    Eco Show and Tell Sustainability Fair
