Illuminating the Word of God

Wednesday 15 November 6.00 – 0.00 Sunday 19 November

St Nicolas Cathedral, Mosely Street, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1PF

"Illuminating the Word of God" is the title for a series of talks which have taken place over the past year in places of worship around Newcastle. The talks have focused on how people of faith have drawn inspiration from their religion to illuminate the Word of God. Muslim, Jewish, Hindu and Christian speakers, have given examples of how writers, sculptors, calligraphers, poets, composers and artists in general have drawn inspiration from their faith. We have invited groups of young people to contribute to the exhibition by making posters which will then be kept as a resource by the Religious Resource Centre.
