    Norton Priory Museum and Gardens
    On 12th November Norton Priory celebrates Diwali, the Hindu festival of light. Family friendly activities will include clay Diya lamp making and Rangoli pattern making. Mima Cornish from Hedgerose Healing will be creating an intricate and traditional rangoli pattern during the afternoon and our historic Undercroft will be specially illuminated for the event.     Hands of Friendship

    During Inter Faith Week we are thinking about those that are important in our lives. We will be decorating hands, with all those who are special to us, writing or drawing in the palm, something that brings us hope.
    We are also learning makaton signs for the song "put a little love in your heart", that singing hands have recorded on you tube. The Dougie Mac Hospice have invited local Schools, Spiritual, Religious and Pastoral communities to join in with us.

The talks have focused on how people of faith have drawn inspiration from their religion to illuminate the Word of God. Muslim, Jewish, Hindu and Christian speakers, have given examples of how writers, sculptors, calligraphers, poets, composers and artists in general have drawn inspiration from their faith.     An inter faith service that will include various readings as well as contributions from the different faiths. There will be a zoom option for the service for those who can’t be there in person. Please contact York Unitarians on yorkunitarians@gmail.com for the zoom link. The service is due to finish at 12pm, and will be followed by a shared lunch at the Unitarian Chapel, St Saviourgate. There will be a ‘bring & share’ vegetarian lunch, so if you are able to bring food items along, please do so before the service starts. Everyone most welcome.     Interfaith Service

    Guests will be welcome to join us for our normal Sunday Service in the Sai Mandir, including a celebration of Ladies' Day and the Interfaith Service. The service will consist of readings, prayers and songs by members of other faiths in the Borough, ending with refreshments and an opportunity to continue our interfaith dialogue.
    As we will be celebrating Ladies' Day, which falls on the same day, our lady devotees will be leading the religious service, which will include a talk on Breast Cancer Awareness.

    In Times Of Need, Where is Spirituality?

    Join us for an event exploring the role of spirituality in challenging times. Registration and refreshments start from 2.30pm and the event begins at 3pm.

    During this event, we will delve into the depths of spirituality and its significance when we face adversity. Through engaging talks and discussions, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of how spirituality can provide solace, guidance, and strength during times of need and putting this towards social action!

    Our panel of speakers, comprised of spiritual leaders and experts, will share their insights and personal experiences.
