Thank you for encouraging others to take part in Inter Faith Week. Below is some basic information you may find it helpful to draw on for your newsletters and e-bulletins.

Inter Faith Week 2023 (www.interfaithweek.org) will take place in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland from Sunday 12 to Sunday 19 November. It’s a Week for everyone in which an ever-growing number and variety of organisations take part. 

The Inter Faith Network for the UK (IFN) established Inter Faith Week (www.interfaithweek.org) in 2009, in partnership with Government in the launch year, to help to strengthen good inter faith relations; increase awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society; and increase understanding between people of religious and non-religious beliefs.

Inter Faith Week is timed to begin each year on Remembrance Sunday, to encourage people to remember together the service of people of all faiths and none. There is a special website section about that, created with the help of the Royal British Legion: https://www.interfaithweek.org/resources/remembrance

Inter Faith Week branding materials such as the flyer, poster and logo can be downloaded from: https://www.interfaithweek.org/resources/publicity-and-branding. 

If you organise an activity, please do let the Inter Faith Network know by submitting details on the Inter Faith Week website at https://www.interfaithweek.org/submit. If your activity is closed to the public, you can list it as ‘closed’. When you register you can request a free pack which contains a poster, flyers, stickers and a social media card. You can also purchase Inter Faith Week badges and pens here.

If you publicise or report on your activity through social media, don’t forget to use the #InterFaithWeek hashtag in your posts and tag @IFWeek on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.

The final Sunday of Inter Faith Week is also Mitzvah Day, a Jewish-led day of social action involving people of all faiths and beliefs working together in their local communities (https://mitzvahday.org.uk/). Each year, many ‘Inter Faith Mitzvah Day’ activities take place to jointly mark Inter Faith Week and Mitzvah Day.  
7. Scottish Interfaith Week, which has run since 2004, is led by Interfaith Scotland (http://www.interfaithscotland.org/). It also runs from 12-19 November and has its own dedicated website at: http://www.scottishinterfaithweek.org/.
