The focus was festivals, and they each talked about different festivals in their religions, including Christmas, Easter, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hanukkah, Diwali and Holi. We sampled delicious Indian food, danced to Indian music, explored religious artefacts, listened to Jewish music, and made Eid cards. The children have been making links between the different religions and their festivals, and we learnt that Hinduism has a lot of festivals!…

Other attendees included the Imam from Basingstoke mosque and members of the Muslim communities, representatives of different Christian churches and members of the Hindu and Sikh communities.
