Some people discover this through faith and a connection to God, while others find it in the vast universe, like the skies and the oceans. This can stem from our desires to look outside the borders of self and find well-being, solace, purpose, and inspiration.

Art therapy during Inter Faith Week aims to bring students with diverse perspectives to use art as a means of self-expression and exploration. Attendees may choose to share their art and discuss what it means to form a personal connection with something greater than themselves, be it through faith, an appreciation of nature, or other pathways.

This one-off therapeutic group session is scheduled for the first day of Inter Faith Week and is for students who are curious about religious belief, faith, the theme, or art therapy in general. All UAL students welcome.…

Forced to Adapt (three short films by Deej Phillips)

    St John's Church, 73 Waterloo Road London SE1 8TY. 19.00 – 21.00
The climate crisis continues to wreak havoc disproportionately in the global south, often resulting in devastating losses to livelihoods and even life itself. In a bid to mitigate the impacts of the climate crisis, communities are constantly forced to adapt to their changing environments.

Anjana, Sreejith and Dipika are from vastly different regions of India, but all have one thing in common: they are having an invaluable impact on the lives of the people they share their communities with and beyond, by communicating and implementing low-cost and low-tech solutions to adapt to this unjust crisis.

Film #1: Mangrove Family – In Kerala, a family continues their father's extraordinary mangrove conservation legacy, resulting in greater protection for coastal communities from extreme weather events.

Film #2: Harvest Mother – In Maharashtra, Anjana dedicates her life to protecting her fellow farmers’ harvests from worsening droughts, with ingenious low-tech adaptation solutions.

Film #3: Climate Guardians – In Gujarat, Dipika travels door to door in her slum settlement to teach others how to be more resilient to the climate crisis, including how to cope with the increasingly brutal heat of the summer months.

    Bristol Diverse Doors Open Day

Bristol, UK. 7 places of worship in the Faith Trail and many others as part of the Diverse Doors Open Day.
Bristol Multi-Faith Forum (BMFF) is organising this year's Bristol Diverse Doors Open Day on Sunday the 19th of November 2023 from 9 am to 5.30 pm. The event is part of Inter Faith Week 2023. Bristol Diverse Doors Open Day celebrates the religious diversity of Bristol, giving communities the chance to experience and learn each other’s cultures and beliefs; and offering the opportunity to visit a range of places of worship and discover many faith communities that exist in Bristol.

The Diverse Doors Multi-Faith Trail will start at 9 am on Sunday the 19th of November from the BMFF office. The address is: Bristol Multi-Faith Forum, Barton Hill Settlement, 43 Ducie Road, Bristol (BS5 0AX). The event will finish by 5.30 p.m. The Faith Trail will pass through a Buddhist shrine, a Greek Orthodox Christian Church, a Seventh Day Adventist Church, a Muslim Mosque, a Sikh Gurudwara, a Jewish Synagogue, a Hindu Temple, and a Bahai Centre. BMFF will arrange a scheduled tour providing minibus transport for people who have signed up for the tour in advance, for a small donation.
