Inter Faith Week can be a great time to initiate inter faith sports programmes or celebrate those that are already going

Sport is a good way to bring people of different faiths and beliefs together, fostering community cohesion and mutual respect between people of different faiths. Some ideas for sporting events during Inter Faith Week include:

  • Publishing an Inter Faith Week section in your regular match programme
  • Through your community or diversity programme, holding an in person or online event to bring together supporters and others to discuss inter faith issues
  • Profiling your club or organisation's support of inter faith sports programmes in its area
  • Setting up an inter faith match or fixture for your sport
  • Running an in person or online event where sportspeople talk about the impact of their faith or belief on their sporting career
  • Working with local schools or colleges to hold an inter faith sports tournament
