Inter Faith Week 2025 Podcast.

Inter Faith Week 2025 Podcast is here to celebrate the incredible interfaith voices from all corners of the UK, diving deep into this year's theme: “Community: Together We Serve.

Inter Faith Week is an annual initiative held in November that strengthens interfaith relations, fosters mutual understanding, and showcases the invaluable contributions of faith communities. 

As part of Inter Faith Week 2025, for the first time, the Inter Faith Week interns will host a podcast series showcasing interfaith stories and conversations from across the country. Each half-hour episode focuses on a different area of interfaith engagement. The Inter Faith Week 2025 Podcast celebrates interfaith voices around the UK and explores the theme for 2025, “Community: Together We Serve.” Each episode features a guest discussing the role of interfaith dialogue, service, and community building across the country.

Episode 1.

Deepak Naik is Chair of the United Religions Initiative UK, and was a founding member of URI Global. He is also the director of the charity Together in Action. In 1999, he was awarded MBE for services to interfaith and for his involvement in the Lambeth Group.

Episode 2.

Noah Katz is the Co-Founder of the Yad Fellowship and works in public affairs at the Board of Deputies of British Jews. They sit on the boards of NUS and the Advisory Council of Jewish on Campus. They are also the Vice Chair of the Lancaster & Lakes Jewish Community.

Episode 3.

Michael Wakelin was formerly Head of Religious Broadcasting at the BBC, and is now Executive Chair of the Religion Media Centre, and Executive Producer at TBI Media, responsible for Pause for Thought on Radio 2. He is also a partner in the Religion and Belief Literacy Partnership, Co-Founder of the Senior Faith Leadership Programme, and a consultant to the City of London’s “Faith in the City.”

Manjit Kaur is a member of NASACRE, the National Association of Standing Councils on Religious Education. She is also currently serving as Chair of Coventry SACRE and Co-chair of Warwickshire SACRE. She is also involved with Coventry Multifaith.

Episode 5.

Monawar Hussain is Muslim Tutor and Imam at Eton College, Executive Committee Member of the World Congress of Faiths and Founder of The Oxford Foundation. He is Deputy Lieutenant for Oxfordshire, and formerly High Sheriff of Oxfordshire. In 2017, Monawar was made an MBE for his services to interfaith relations and the community, and in 2020, was awarded the Sternberg Interfaith Gold Medallion.
