National Launch Event

We are thrilled to announce that the official National Launch Event for Inter Faith Week 2026 will take place on Tuesday 3rd November 2026, delivered in partnership with the Nishkam Civic Association (NCA) in Birmingham.

Centred on this year's theme, ‘Lighting the Way for a Shared Future’, the launch brings together faith leaders, community members, and young people to celebrate interfaith friendships and local partnerships across the West Midlands and England.

Co-coordinated by the Faith & Belief Forum, United Religions Initiative UK, and the National Steering Group for Inter Faith Week—with support from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and Florence Eshalomi MP, Minister for Homelessness, Democracy, Communities and Faith—the event showcases the vital role faith and belief communities play in building connected, resilient societies.

The Nishkam Civic Association stated, "We are delighted to be the launch partner for National Inter Faith Week 2026 in Birmingham. Through our ongoing interfaith, civic, and community-cohesion work, we bring people together across faiths, beliefs, backgrounds, and sectors, guided by the values of compassion, service, equality, and respect. The theme, ‘Lighting the Way for a Shared Future’, reflects our belief that solidarity among people of different faiths, together with shared values, helps create stronger, more resilient, and more cohesive communities."

 Programme Highlights: Faith-inspired recitals, interactive workshops, creative exhibitions, and a closing shared vegetarian meal (langar).
