On Thursday 5 November 2026, from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm, we are delighted to be hosting a vibrant community event celebrating Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas at UCB

The event will feature a range of engaging activities, arts and crafts, traditional food and sweets, lively music, inspiring talks and a live Dhol (traditional drum) performance

As part of the celebrations, we will also be inviting UCB colleagues to support the application of tikka to students' foreheads, reflecting an important cultural and religious tradition. If you would be interested in supporting this activity during the event, please let me know.

We warmly encourage everyone to come along, learn more about how our colleagues and students celebrate these festivals, and take part in this wonderful opportunity to celebrate our diverse community. Cultural dress is highly encouraged!
