Retelling Sacred Stories: Beauty, Friendship, and Shared Sacred Flourishing

Friday 20 November 17.30 – 19.00

Lucia Windsor Room, Newnham College

Join panellists Bill Vendeley, Denis Alexander & Steven Toussaint, convened with the support of the Fetzer Institute.

Every faith community carries its identity through stories: scripture recited, poetry remembered, and the lives of prophets and saints retold across generations. These narratives shape how communities understand themselves, one another, and the world around them. But can sacred traditions also become sources of encounter, opening us towards our neighbours rather than reinforcing the boundaries between us?
