Queers in Faith: An Open Conversation
Monday 3 November 19.00 – 21.00
Queer Lit, 27 Great Ancoats St, Ancoats, Manchester M4 5AJ, UK
Faith and queerness are often spoken of as though they cannot coexist—but what happens when we dare to stay, to believe, and to belong?
Join us for Queers in Faith, a brave and open conversation exploring the intersections of queerness and spirituality across traditions. Together, we’ll hear voices and experiences from Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and other faith perspectives, creating space for honesty, questioning, and community.
We’ll also be discussing Chutzpah by Yehudis Fletcher and The Ayatollah’s Gaze by Majid Parsa, two powerful works that invite us to reimagine faith, power, and identity.
Guiding us through the evening is Rev. Jide Macaulay, a pioneering voice for queer inclusion in faith communities, who will host and hold space for this vital dialogue.
Whether you hold faith, hold doubt, or hold space for others, you are welcome here.
