    Art Therapy

    Art therapy during Inter Faith Week aims to bring students with diverse perspectives to use art as a means of self-expression and exploration. Attendees may choose to share their art and discuss what it means to form a personal connection with something greater than themselves, be it through faith, an appreciation of nature, or other pathways.

    This one-off therapeutic group session is scheduled for the first day of Inter Faith Week and is for students who are curious about religious belief, faith, the theme, or art therapy in general. All UAL students welcome.…

    An Inter Faith Week celebration: Putting the spotlight on inter faith activism - a webinar for schools


    The Faith & Belief Forum has worked for over 20 years to build good relations between people of all faiths and beliefs, and to create a society where difference is celebrated. We are offering secondary schools across the UK an exciting webinar designed especially for Inter Faith Week, using our unique methodology. The Webinar will allow pupils to hear from a diverse group of speakers who will present, reflect on and discuss their own personal experiences of interfaith activism and social action, as well as how their own faith and belief has influenced them on this path. There will also be opportunity to ask questions. This session will empower young people to:

    Celebrate Inter Faith Week and understand the importance of collective community action, building bridges and paths to understanding
    Understand the intersectionality of identity through the use of personal stories
    See effective interfaith dialogue modelled
    Reflect on their own experiences in relation to this topic
    Challenge assumptions and stereotypes

    Online and in-person event hosted by the Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies Oxford - Drawing on his recently published book, The Muslim Difference (Yale 2022), Youshaa Patel explores the vexing Islamic discourse of reprehensible imitation (tashabbuh), a discourse that enjoins ordinary believers to embody and display their religious difference from Christians, Jews and others in public life. Moderating cross-cultural imitation and assimilation was as crucial to the construction of Muslim identity and alterity during Islam's formative period as it is today.     Inter Faith Week - Islamic Exhibition

    The Islamic society at the University of Huddersfield is organising an Islamic Exhibition. Working alongside the Faith Chaplains, students and staff both Muslim and non-Muslim are invited to observe Friday Prayer. Guests will be given a translation of the chapter ‘Al-Fatiha’ from the Holy Quran, as well as a guide to the prayer and sermon.
