    “Recognising and Preventing Violence Against Women.

    Frank Whittle Building, Coventry University, 3 Gulson Rd, Coventry CV1 2JH. 17.00 – 19.30
    This evening conference will explore the issue of domestic violence as experienced by women and girls from faith communities. It will help those attending to understand the issue better, whatever their background or professional interest. Speakers will include practitioners, academics and religious leaders. United Religions Initiative UK plans to draw on the report of the conference to design a ‘domestic violence toolkit’ for use by religious and community leaders, initially in the West Midlands.

    University of Suffolk Unlocked: An Interfaith Conversation to Explore the Meaning and Significance of Marriage

    University of Suffolk, 19-21 Neptune Quay, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP4 1QJ. 12.30 – 16.30
    In partnership with the Ipswich Faith and Community Forum, this panel conversation welcomes members of the wider Suffolk community, students, and staff to engage in an open dialogue about how different traditions view commitment, partnership, and lifelong union and how the understanding of marriage continues to evolve in today’s diverse and dynamic society.

    Whether you belong to a particular faith tradition, are exploring your own beliefs, or are simply curious about different perspectives, this event offers a welcoming space to celebrate diversity, deepen understanding, and build meaningful interfaith connections through one of life’s most enduring commitments.…

  • Saturday 15 November

    Interfaith Week 2025 at Chester Cathedral

    Chester Cathedral Banking Hall, 30 St Werburgh Street, Chester CH1 2 HU. 14.00 – 16.00
    To mark Interfaith Week 2025, Chester Cathedral and the University of Chester Chaplaincy Team will be hosting a second Faith2Faith Conversation, this time with Chester’s Lord Mayor and Sheriff. Join us to hear them sharing thoughts and reflections about how they live out their different faiths in their work and everyday lives.

    The conversation will be followed by refreshments and a talk from Canon Dr Jacob Devadason on a fresh approach to interfaith engagement called ‘verandah theology’.

    People of all faiths and none are very welcome to this event as we work to live better together across our differences.
