Working Together - Scriptural Reasoning and Interfaith Discussions

Tuesday 12 November 19.30 – 22.15

Cockfosters & N. Southgate United Synagogue, Old Farm Avenue, London N14 5QR

We are delighted to be hosting Imam Qari Asim of the Mukkah Masjid in Leeds, Reverend Dr. Sam Wells of St Martin in the Fields and Rabbi Dr. Harvey Belovski of Golders Green United Synagogue (“Dunstan Road”), who will be joining us to mark National Interfaith Week

I am very humbled and excited that we are hosting three deeply religious, but impressively open-minded faith leaders for a frank and open discussion about our texts and about the significant challenges facing our society in 2019.

Our great interfaith advocates have included former Chief Rabbis Lord Jacobovits and Lord Sacks and we are delighted that CNSS will become the stage for an important encounter – especially in the light of elections and faith challenges in broader society.

All three faith leaders are recognised widely for their knowledge, their willingness to grapple with faith and religion in a modern society and there will be ample time for an extensive Q&A session for all of us to ask some of those challenging questions.

The evening starts at 7:30pm with Maariv and a bagel supper and the interfaith conversations will commence at 8:00pm.
