Walk of Peace

Sunday 17 November 12.30 – 15.00

St. Peter's Church, St. Peter's Way, Monkwearmouth, Sunderland, SR6 0DY

The Annual Walk For Peace this year will start at the 7th century site of St. Peter's Church, Monkwearmouth, where Venerable Bede played a pivotal role in modern history and Western civilisation. It will then take in the Gurdwara (where there will be food) the Buddhist temple and Hendon Mosque. It is a terrific opportunity to see the many faiths being practiced in Sunderland today and find out about their history.
