Trustee Duties and Security for Places of Worship

Thursday 18 November 12.00 – 13.15

The Charity Commission for England and Wales and the SAFE Programme by the Community Security Trust (CST) welcome you to a Security Awareness webinar for faith charities, in particular Places of Worship.

  • The Charity Commission will introduce trustee duties in a faith charity context; giving an overview of trustees' legal duties and the need for them to take reasonable steps to protect people who come into contact with their charity from harm.
  • SAFE by CST will discuss organising security and basic security requirements; looking at creating a security team and risk management, CCTV, learning what is '"suspicious", emergency procedures and leaving you with an Action Plan - this is a detailed introduction to security for places of worship and vulnerable communities.
