Speaker: Dr. Husna Ahmad, CEO of Global One 2015,Visionary and Campaigner for a more sustainable Hajj and produced the Green Guide to the Hajj.
The workshop will showcase examples of inspirational women, such as Venerable Master Shih Cheng Yen and Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Wangari Maathai, who led campaigns and initiatives that have had a profound impact on protecting the Earth.
Case studies of
- Venerable Master Shih Cheng Yen, a female Buddhist Religious leader who put forward the idea of recycling 30 years ago.
- Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Wangari Maathai, founder of the Green Belt movement started by planting trees as a young girl.
Participants will discuss what lessons can be learned from these inspiring examples and share their own unique and powerful contributions to protecting the earth.
