Refugees Boat Trip

Sunday 21 November 0.00 – 0.00

Cumbria, UK

Refugees from Afghanistan who have recently resettled in Cumbria were welcomed on board one of Windermere Lake Cruises' vessels as part of Mitzvah Day and Inter Faith Week, to help refugees with integration, language, and developing relationships with the local community. After the cruise, the refugees travelled to Hawkshead where residents prepared typical English afternoon tea for everyone. The event was also attended by the High Sherrif of Cumbria David Beeby.
