Protecting Our Places Of Worship

Wednesday 6 November 10.00 – 16.00

Rochester Cathedral, Garth House, Rochester, ME1 1SX

Senior police officers in the UK have encouraged places of worship to step up their security in the wake of the global increase in attacks on faith communities.

To support our multi-faith community the CSSC (Cross-Sector Safety & Security Communications) South East Region has created a one-day event which will provide advice and guidance on how people and places of worship can prepare and better protect themselves in the event of terrorist attack.

This session will start by discussing how to prepare and respond to a terrorist attack in a place of worship . It will cover how blue light services respond to a terrorist attack and how you can better prepare your place of worship. The session will also provide guidance around the salvaging of artefacts in the event of a fire or following any other type of incident.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
