Kirklees Places of Worship Event

Wednesday 27 November 9.30 – 15.30

St Andrew’s Church, Denison Street, Batley, WF17 7NU

You are invited to a Multi Faith Major Incident Awareness Event.

A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.

This is about places of worship working in partnership with other organisations, our communities and the police, to effectively plan and respond to emergencies. This event will consist of presentations from Counter Terrorism Security Advisors, West Yorkshire Police, Kirklees Council Emergency Planning Officers and the Cohesion Team.

The question posed to places of worship within Kirklees is: Would you be able to respond to a major incident within your community?

This is an event to educate, give places of worship confidence in dealing with the initial stages of a major incident and raise awareness amongst the faith community of where to get help.
