Interfaith Week: Icons and the Orthodox faith

Tuesday 15 November 12.00 – 13.30

Lecture Theatre 1, Library Building, Woodlane campus, Falmouth TR11 4RH

The Multifaith Chaplaincy team invite you to join us in marking Interfaith Week 2022 by attending a lecture about the role of icons in the Orthodox faith. This will be a fascinating lecture about the intersection between art and faith.

The lecture will be delivered by Fr Nikitas Lantsberry, who is the local Orthodox priest and serves the Orthodox Church of Archangel Michael and Holy Piran here in Cornwall. He will be joined by Sophia Peet, who is an icon painter. We are also delighted that our colleagues from the university library will provide a display of books about iconography in art for you to peruse at the end of the talk.
