Interfaith Week Dementia Awareness Session
Wednesday 11 November 0.00 – 0.00
Rowan House, 33 Sheepen Road, Colchester Essex CO3 3WG
Faith can be crucial for people affected by dementia as they go through their dementia journey. Yet often people with dementia miss out on being able to access their faith due to a lack of understanding on the part of the wider community about how best to support them. This special 90 minute session has been arranged by the Alzheimer’s Society, the Essex Faith & Communities group and Colchester Borough Council for their key stakeholders to help them understand how dementia impacts upon people and how to help meet the needs of a person affected by dementia and how to share your understanding within their faith communities. The session will be run by the Alzheimer’s Society’s Essex Dementia Friendly Communities Coordinators. Questions can be submitted in advance or at the session through the chat facility.
