Interfaith Chanting, Prayers and Blessings

Saturday 14 November 16.00 – 18.00

London Buddhist Vihara

On Saturday 14th November, between 4-6pm, all the religions together will perform a common ceremony of Chanting, Prayer and Blessings.

We chant and pray for those who had become victims of Covid-19 and left us.

We chant and pray those who are suffering from this illness, for a speedy recovery and back to their normal self.
 
We chant and pray, wishing for every one of you to be free from this deadly covid-19 and for the world to be free from this pandemic disaster.

Schedule: 

4pm. Short Introduction by Ven. Bogoda Seelawimala - Head of the London Buddhist Vihara - Bedford Park.

4.10pm. Short Reflection by Dr Harriet Crabtree - Director of Interfaith Network 

4.15pm. Christian Prayers by The Revd ThomasCouper the and friends - St Michael’s and all Angels - Bedford Park.
 
4.25pm. Muslim Prayers by Maulana Sayed Ali Abbas Razawi - Director General and Chief Imam, Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society - Edinburgh.

4.30pm. Hindu Prayers by Dr Aloy Ball and friends, Shevsram and Sangha - Shepherds Bush.

4.35pm. Sikh Prayers by Mrs Charanjith and Mr Ajith Sing MBE, Hounslow Friends of Faith.  

4.45pm. Prayers by Revd Hugh Osgood - Free Churches Group.

4.55pm. Jain Prayers by PM Samaniji Dr Pratibha Pragya, who is a Jain nun – Harrow.

5.00pm. Bahai Prayers by Mr Miles Green , Bahai International... 

5.05Chanting by The Reverend Gyoro Nagase
a Japanese monk ,London Peace Pagoda, Battersea.

5.10pm. Reading by Dr Desmond Bidulph - Chairman of Buddhist Society, London.
 
5.15pm. Chanting by the resident Monks of the London Buddhist Vihara, led by Venerable Bandula.
