Faith Leaders Forum - Discussing safeguarding issues within our community

Wednesday 20 November 12.00 – 14.00

RCCG Restoration House, 80 Rowan Road, Bexleyheath DA7 4BN

A meeting of the Bexley faith leaders' forum. The forum aims to provide a safe space for people to discuss the wider cultural issues that impact the wellbeing of children and families in Bexley. Also, to explore how faith leaders and other agencies can learn from each other to better support families.

The focus of this session will be on Domestic Abuse and the wider context. Domestic abuse can affect people from all social and economic backgrounds regardless of age, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. However, this still remains a taboo topic in some communities so this session will focus on how we can better recognise signs of domestic abuse and how to respond.

There will be a presentation, followed by a workshop discussion and Q&A. There will also be opportunities for networking.
