Creation of Ahimsa Peace Forest - Planting of 1000 Trees & Bulbs

The Jain community will bring together friends and families from many different faiths in the local community to plant an incredible 1000 trees and flowering bulbs at Kenton Recreation Ground in Harrow to create an ‘Ahimsa Peace Forest’. The mass tree planting is the flagship OneJAIN project under the ‘Planting for Peace’ environmental initiative launched by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur UK to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of the icon of peace, Mahatma Gandhi, to spread the message of peace, harmony and co-existence. Supported by OneJAIN, Harrow Interfaith, Harrow Council, Friends of Kenton Rec and Trees for Cities.
