Countdown to the Glasgow UN climate summit 2021: Faith voices from Birmingham
Monday 9 November 6.30 – 7.30
Birmingham Council of Faiths, B5 6DR; The Bridge at Waterloo, SE1 8TY (Online)
This webinar explores how grassroots communities, especially faith groups, can contribute to more ambitious climate action in the run-up to the UN Conference (COP26) in Glasgow 2021. Our speakers - Shahin Ashraf (Islamic Relief Worldwide) and Dr Malcolm Dick (Centre for West Midlands History) - will highlight the possibilities that the postponed COP26 offers to local and regional climate actions in Birmingham. They will also look at what we can all learn from the efforts of Birmingham residents to contribute to climate justice - locally, nationally and globally.
