Classroom and assembly activities for Inter Faith Week

This week classes have been joining in with inter- faith week which is about looking at similarities and differences alongside how everyone can work together. Year 4 looked at the Jewish Festival of Sukkot. Year 5 the values which are important to us and to Sikhs. Year 1 made Diwali cards and sent their well wishes to the community as well as decorating divas which were donated by Heeya’s family. Year 2 had a Bible story with a Christian called Fiona and a Jewish fairy tale with Alana. They made a film about their ideas on how to work with faith visitors. Years 2.4.5 and 6 had an assembly with Imran about his family heritage and how the Five Pillars of Islam are important for him and other Muslims.
