Book Launch of ‘Southampton’s Migrant Past and Present’ by Tony Kushner

This afternoon event, launching the publication of Tony Kushner's new book 'Southampton's Migrant Past and Present', will be accompanied by artistic reflections on migration.

  • We will hear poetry from Joan McGavin, Nazneen Ahmed's poetry and film on Lascars from Mayflower400
  • We will screen the ‘Atlantic Park’ film from Tony Kushner
  • We will listen to Joseph Finlay's performance of Yiddish songs, and to testimony from the Sennah family.
  • We will hear from the three refugee related organisations and there will be opportunities to obtain a free copy of the book and to make donations to CLEAR and the Southampton & Winchester Visitors Group.
