BATCA Multi Faith Peace Ceremony

Thursday 17 November 18.00 – 19.45

Outside Tooting Broadway Tube Station, SW17 0SU

The Peace Ceremony is an annual event when leaders of the main faiths and civic leaders gather together with the general public to express prayers and wishes for peace and community solidarity. Faith leaders in their traditional robes say brief prayers for peace, followed by responses from civic leaders, who speak briefly to affirm the strength and resilience of our area. Members of the public gather round and light candles.

This year the event will be led by Rev Angela Rayner, vicar of Holy Trinity and St Augustine's Churches, Tooting. Leaders from the Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish and Muslim and Sikh faiths will be present, together with Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, MP for Tooting, and Cllr Jeremy Ambache, Mayor of Wandsworth.
