Witnessing Passchendaele

Thursday 23 November 20.00 – 0.00

The Church Office, The Chantry, Norwich, NR2 1QZ

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the end of the battle of Passchendaele, one of the most costly battles of the First World War. During this remembrance season, there will be a sculpture installed in St Peter Mancroft called ‘assembly’, chairs from the church at Passchendaele, which represent those who were killed in the Great War.

This will start at 8pm, and will be followed by a vigil for peace, with various reflective stations, and prayers for areas of conflict on the hour each hour, and a breaking of bread with one another in fellowship and peace at midnight, when the event will finish. You are most warmly invited to take part, and we hope to see you there.
