The Bundle - an asylum seeker’s story

A performance of the play The Bundle. Based on the true story of a woman and her three young children, it follows Adilah’s abuse and denial of human rights in Chechnya. Escaping her forced marriage she arrives in the UK, where she has to face the Home Office’s ‘hostile environment’ with regard to asylum seekers and refugees. Running time 65 minutes, followed by tea and coffee.

Donations are welcome for Refugees Welcome Hounslow (RWH). RWH is an initiative of Hounslow Friends of Faith, although operating independently. It works to welcome, and then support and befriend Syrian refugee families settled in the Borough of Hounslow as part of the Government’s Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme and where possible to support other refugees too.
The Bundle was commissioned by QARN (Quaker Asylum Seeker and Refugee Network) and is performed by Journeymen Theatre Company Suitable from age 12 up.
