The Grange School marked Inter Faith Week, which took place between 11-18th November. Miss Clarke delivered assemblies on the theme of acceptance, diversity and religious tolerance.
Various guest speakers were invited to talk to different year groups. Rabbi Solomons, an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi spoke to Year 8 and 9 about Judaism, highlighting the similarities between Judaism and Islam, and the Jewish roots of Islamic and Christian beliefs and practices.
Representatives from the Aylesbury Vineyard Church and the Street Pastors spoke to Year 10 students about the role of Christianity in Britain and their beliefs about life after death and evil.
Representatives from Aylesbury Hindu community spoke with Year 10 students about Hindu beliefs and teachings. Rabbi Charley Baginski from the Liberal Jewish community in Watford spoke to Year 10 students about misconceptions, the basics of Judaism and her journey to becoming a Rabbi.
Our students were highly engaged, asking pertinent and probing questions, all of our guests remarked how impressed they were with their enthusiasm.
