Pleckgate High School, Pleckgate Road, Blackburn, BB1 8QA

A one day celebration during National Inter Faith Week which will bring people together people of many faiths. We plan to showcase exhibitions from the different faiths. We will have short presentations delivered by children, highlighting their understanding of the various religions. To attract families we will have activities such as face painting, henna, and football. There will be a ‘try-it-on’ where people can don the head covering of different faiths whilst learning their significance. Also there will be a ‘Dress a Mannequin Challenge’ where children can dress mannequins according to faith and draw on similarities between them. There will also be food from different cultures and backgrounds. We will also invite the attendees to create a 'peace quilt', to symbolise greatness in diversity. An inter faith football event will also take place.
