|Important information||Painter and John Moores 2016 exhibitor Juliet Goodden is showing recent work at St Mary Abbotts Church, High Street Kensington from November 12-19th 2018. Recently she has focused on the religious landscape of urban Great Britain. By spending time drawing in diverse religious centres she has gained an understanding of the role of religion for communities who, for whatever reason, have moved to countries far from their native homes.
Juliet has been exploring religious icons and souvenirs and uses oil paint on old silk saris to create a series of still lives, enabling the objects from different faiths to share the same space.
On Thursday November 15th Juliet its giving a one off drawing session in the church for anyone who’d like to explore sacred space. We'll meet from 11 - 1 and draw inside the church.
Please contact Juliet for more details and to sign up.
