Hidden Stories Shared Lives exhibition

Thursday 16 November

Kendal Library, Stricklandgate, Kendal LA9 4PY, Cumbria

Hidden Stories Shared Lives is a heritage project that aims at collecting, sharing oral histories of migration in Cumbria and celebrating diversity and lust for life. As part of the project we were trying to build a picture of the people who have chosen Cumbria to be their home and who with their life experiences have added new threads to the rich tapestry of this county.
Everyday Life Portraits exhibition is a result of the artistic cooperation between artist Jane Dudman and people interviewed for the project. The exhibition comprises informative and creative parts where a collection of stories and everyday objects give us an artful picture of Cumbrian diversity and everyday life of people who came from far and wide.

Event held by Cumbria Development Education Centre, South Lakes Equality and Diversity Partnership, South Lakeland District Council, AWAZ – the Voice of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) People and Communities in Cumbria
