Faithful Organisations: Evening Workshop

An evening workshop on the roles and responsibilities of trustees, directors, committees, staff, volunteers and members in the governance of faith-based community organisations and places of worship. This evening workshop will explore topics of interest such as 'Understanding Organisational Language', 'Visionary Thinking' and 'Involving and Sharing Work' among others. This will be supported by examples and good practice handouts using real life experience of national and local situations from a wide range of organisations and communities. The workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to fully understand their organisations and help it to achieve better governance and practice. Valuable for faith-based organisations and those working with them to deliver informed governance that meets UK law and upholds the highest values of faith teachings. No previous experience is necessary, just bring a willingness to share with and learn from others.

Important information The workshop is free to Near Neighbours participants, faith groups and community organisations and those working with them but we do ask for £5 per person towards the cost of handouts. Please bring the correct change or make cheques payable to St Philip's Centre Ltd. A vegetarian buffet will be provided. The workshop is limited to 20 people, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
